At the Richland Child Care Center, we utilize safe sleep practices. Children in the infant room are placed in a crib without blankets, toys, bottles, etc. They are placed to sleep on their backs. More information on safe sleep practices can be accessed at the center.
The Richland Child Care Center requires proof of required immunizations or the appropriate exemption paperwork. Required immunizations include: TDAP (Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis), Polio, Pneumococcal, Hib, Measles/Rubella, and Varicella.

In our infant classroom, we focus on two types of language, POWER words and sign language.
POWER words are the simple words that give children power to get their needs met. These words include: help, eat, stop, no, more, and please, among many others.
We also teach basic sign language to help children communicate what their needs are.
